Jonathan Syrett

Jonathan Syrett came to Mallorca with his parents when he was just nine years old. His nautical dabbling began in the 1970s as a sailing and windsurfing instructor in Calanova when superyachts were still in their early days, and he went on to work for 33 years with Camper & Nicholsons International. Initially as a yacht sales broker in 1985, he went on to manage the company in Spain for over twenty years.

Jonathan established the marine consultancy, Hamilton Marine, in 2018, dedicated to offering a highly personalised service to yacht owners and marine businesses, specialising in brokerage. He was part of the creation of the Spanish Association of Great Yachts (AEGY) in 2006 where he served the first nine years as Vice President.

Jonathan is a trustee of the Royal Hispania Foundation and was one of the main organisers of the Almirante Conde de Barcelona Trophy regatta for classic and vintage yachts. He also oversaw the restoration of the 15-metre sailing yacht International HISPANIA, built for King Alfonso XIII in 1907.
