Didac Costa confirmed as speaker at Balearic Yacht Show
The Spanish professional sailor who will embark on a solo round-the-world race on the 8th of November 2020 will be a virtual speaker at the Balearic yacht show.
More details of the first virtual boat show in the Balearic Islands are being revealed week by week.
The Balearic Yacht Show will be held from the 18th to the 20th of November and around 30 national and international marine companies have already confirmed their participation in what will be the largest virtual meeting point in the Mediterranean.
The aim of the Balearic Yacht Show is to bring together the main players in the industry and guarantee that the show is 100% safe.
The Balearic Yacht Show will be a totally online boat show featuring exhibitors from companies, boats, associations, media partners both in the Balearics and Internationally. In addition, there will be a wide range of conferences, events and workshops. Participants will be able to attend more technical talks on the nautical industry or participate in events focused on highlighting all the advantages of the Balearic Islands as a destination.
Didac Costa has just confirmed his participation in the Balearic Yacht Show as a speaker at one of the main events at the fair. The professional sailor will be personally greeting visitors and sharing his great passion for the islands. Didac is expected to talk about his experience as the first and only Spanish competitor in the solo round-the-world race on 8th of November. This is an incredible challenge to take on and the Barcelona-born sailor will be using the IMOCA Open 60 "One Planet Once Ocean".
The Vendée Globe is the toughest test of transoceanic sailing. Didac Costa has been working all year with his team to fine-tune his boat, which was recently undergoing refit in Palma, to ensure it’s in the perfect condition for the boat's sixth round-the-world race. An incredible experience which Didac will share with those attending his conference during the Balearic Yacht Show.
